For this post I'll be showing inspiration for two types of weather: A fresher look for early fall/spring/warmer days and an outfit for colder days in fall or winter. I admit I wore the first look some time ago but I haven't posted about it. 

1. Off the shoulder

The off the shoulder is a trend that has been getting my attention since summer. It gives a different and elegant touch to the outfit and, in my opinion, it works really well with accessories like necklaces, chokers and scarfs. The off the shoulder top or dress is a versatile piece and it can be used in both spring/summer hot days or colder days in winter/fall. 

I styled an off the shoulder top with a floral skirt and brown backpack matching the fall leaves. I used a flat white shoes to get a casual look and black sunglasses. Also added a discrete black choker complementary to the black top. I used this outfit to walk around in a nice sunny day! :)

Trago para este post inspirações para dois dias com diferentes temperaturas: Um look para dias um pouco mais quentes como no início do outono/primavera e outro para dias mais frios no outono ou interno. Admito que usei o primeiro look algum tempo atrás mas nunca o mostrei no blog.

1. Ombros descobertos ("Off the shoulder")

A tendência dos "ombros descobertos" já é algo que tem chamado a minha atenção desde o verão. A peça acrescenta um ar diferente e elegante e, na minha opinião, resulta muito bem com acessórios como colares, gargantilhas/chokers e lenços. A camisa/top ou vestido de ombros descobertos é uma peça versátil e pode ser usada em tanto dias de primavera/verão ou dias mais frios de outono/inverno.

Eu usei um top de ombros descobertos com uma saia floral e uma mochila/mala a combinar com as folhas de outono. Usei uns sapatos brancos para um estilo mais casual e uns óculos escuros pretos. Acrescentei uma choker/gargantilha discreta para complementar o top preto. Usei este conjunto num dia agradável de sol! :)

2. Baggy Sweater 

I really love sweaters  ( you can see it from the other posts :) ) and cold days are perfect to put them on and get cozy. From all types of sweaters, this time I'll talk (or write :) ) about baggy, oversized sweaters! It can be a top, a dress, women's, men's (seriously, there're some men clothes that I'd really like to buy for myself) - as long as it's comfy and warm.

Oversized sweaters or sweater dresses can be used with a shorts, skirts, leggings or trousers. I personally love wearing them with skirts or even as a dress, with a shorts underneath in case the sweater is not long enough. We can't forget about tights and/or long socks if it's too cold not to have them.

That's exactly what I did in this look - I used a baggy sweater with a pattern skirt, tights, long socks and black boots. Also threw a coat on the top to get an extra layer of warmness! 

2. Suéter larga 

Eu adoro sweaters ( podem ver nos meus outros posts :) ) e dias frios são perfeitos para as usarmos e ficarmos confortáveis. De todos os tipos de sweaters, desta vez vou falar (ou escrever :) ) sobre sweaters largas, 'oversized' suéteres! Pode ser um top, vestido, de mulher, de homem (a sério, às vezes há roupas de homem que eu gostaria mesmo de comprar para mim) - desde que seja confortável e quentinha.

Sweaters/suéteres largas ou vestidos-suéter podem ser usados com shorts/calções, saias, leggings ou calças. Eu pessoalmente gosto muito de as usar com saias ou mesmo como um vestido, com shorts/calções por baixo no caso da sweater não ser suficientemente longa. Não podemos esquecer as meias-calças/collants e/ou meias longas caso esteja muito frio para não as usar.

Foi exatamente o que vesti neste look - usei uma sweater larga com uma saia com padrão, meias-calças, meias compridas e botas pretas. Também coloquei um casaco por cima para uma camada extra de aconchego!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday (Black Friday yay!) :)

Today I'll show another fall inspiration look, this time with a dress that has a "2 in 1" effect. As I mentioned in the previous post, fall and winter are perfect for layering and, although this look is not 'actually' layering, the 2 in 1 piece brings that look and feel.

I'm a fan of pleated skirts, as you can see in my Instagram (here, here, here and in other looks I posted).  This dress is perfect as it makes look like I'm wearing a pleated skirt underneath. I'd love to show you guys my pleated skirts "collection", if it's something you'd like to see. :)

Olá a todos! Feliz Sexta-feira (Black Friday yay!) :)

Hoje venho mostrar-vos outro look de inspiração para o outono, desta vez com um vestido com um efeito de "2 em 1". Como referi no post anterior, o outono e o inverno são perfeitos para usar a criatividade com várias camadas de roupa. As peças 2 em 1 facilitam um pouco o processo e já dão um ar de camadas, apesar de ser apenas uma peça.

Eu sou fã de saias plissadas, como podem ver no meu Instagram (aqui, aqui, aqui e em outros looks que postei). Este vestido é perfeito uma vez que faz parecer que tenho uma saia plissada por baixo. Adorava mostrar a minha "coleção" de saias plissadas aqui no blog, se isto é algo que vocês gostariam de ver. :)

The dress

I bought this dress at Shein website and it took around 2 weeks to arrive. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. I just thought the length was a bit short, but it's ok if you use a short underneath and tights or leggings. 

O vestido

Comprei este vestido na Shein and levou à volta de 2 semanas para chegar. O tecido é muito macio e confortável. Eu achei o comprimento um pouco curto, mas fica bem ao utilizar uns calções/shorts por baixo e umas meias-calças ou leggings.

The watch

I ordered the watch from Giraças store some time ago but never had the chance to show it off in the blog :) It's gold pink color and it's just the cutest! I felt in love with it online and even more when it arrived. I had to adjust it to my super tiny wrist and I'm using non stop now. It actually goes well with a lot of different colors as the pink is really discrete.

O relógio

Encomendei este relógio da loja Giraças algum tempo atrás mas nunca tive a oportunidade de o mostrar no blog :) É cor-de-rosa dourado e é simplesmente fofo! Apaixonei-me quando o vi online e ainda mais quando a encomenda chegou. Tive que o ajustar ao meu pulso super fino e agora uso-o sem parar. Apesar de parecer que não, ele combina com várias cores uma vez que o cor-de-rosa é muito discreto.

To wrap up this post, of course, the complete outfit. I also wore fashion tights ( which is one of my favourite "accessories" for cold weather) and a scarf.

Para finalizar, claro, o look em que usei ambas as peças. Usei também umas meias-calças/collants com padrão ( são um dos meus 'acessórios' favoritos para usar quando está frio ) e um cachecol.

Hi everyone!  We're 1 month away from winter so it's been getting colder and cloudier here. For this post I will be showing an outfit I wore for a rainy and cold day.

There're some pieces I really like to use when it's cold and they are - baggy sweaters / comfy dresses, tights, leggings, boots, warm and long socks, all types of coats! In the cold I just want to get warm, comfortable and (try to) keep the style without looking like a big chunky thing. haha

I confess the pieces I used for this outfit aren't new so I'm not sure you'll be able to find them in the stores, but I will try and remember where I bought them from at least!

I've been really into green - it's my favourite color since I was young. Since I became a designer, thought, I'm not as focused in just one color but instead I like a lot of different ones. But the green 'crush' is always there so it's one of the features of this outfit :)

Olá pessoal! Estamos há 1 mês do inverno e está cada vez mais frio e nublado aqui. Para este post eu vou mostrar um look que eu usei num dia frio e chuvoso.

Há algumas peças de roupa que eu gosto muito de usar quando está frio e elas são - sweaters/camisolas ou vestidos largos e confortáveis, meias-calças, leggings, botas, meias compridas e quentes, todos os tipos de casacos! No frio eu só quero estar quentinha, confortável e (tentar) manter o estilo sem parecer que estou cheia de roupas e pesada. haha

Confesso que as peças que usei não são propriamente novas, então não sei se será possível encontra-las nas lojas mas, pelo menos, vou tentar lembrar onde as comprei!

Desde que era nova, sempre gostei muito de verde. Porém, desde que me tornei designer, não estou tão focada em apenas uma cor mas em várias diferentes. De qualquer forma, a 'paixoneta' pelo verde está sempre lá por isso é uma dar cores de destaque neste look :)

Pins and Patches

Pins and patches are a lovely way to customise and make your clothes special and unique! There're super cute styles and options to choose from. It's definitely something to try out.

I confess I have more pins than patches as I just started to get into the patches world. I love them though!

I shopped recently in the Vanilla Vice website. There're so many cute products it's hard to choose! Their patches and pins collection is adorable.  They have worldwide shipping.

Here's what I got there:

Pins e patches são uma forma adorável de personalizar qualquer roupa e torná-las especiais e únicas! Existem opções e estilos super fofos para escolher. Definitivamente é algo para experimentar.

Como só comecei a 'entrar' no mundo dos patches recentemente, confesso que tenho mais pins do que patches. Mas adoro-os de qualquer forma!

Na semana passada fiz uma compra online na loja Vanilla Vice. Há tantos produtos fofos que é difícil escolher! A coleção de patches e pins são mesmo adoráveis. Eles enviam internacionalmente.

Passando ao que comprei:

I loved them all and want to get more! 😱  My favourite is the Flamingo pin. Would love to know which one is your favourite! :)

I haven't used the patch yet as I didn't decide what piece of cloth I'd like to put it on. I guess that will be content for another post.

I did some fall/autumn shopping recently in H&M and Giraças, so there’re some goodies to show.
Let’s start with:

H&M: 
I’ve been so addicted to sweaters recently, that they are the only thing I have been buying. I’ve been trying to find more graphic print sweaters, as I don’t have many and they’re super cute.

Fiz recentemente algumas compras na H&M e na Giraças, então há algumas coisas para mostrar.
Vamos começar com:

H&M:
Eu tenho andado tão viciada em sweaters que elas são as únicas peças que tenho comprado recentemente. Tenho também tentado encontrar mais sweaters com impressão gráfico, porque não tenho muitas e elas são super fofas.

1. The "stay positive" sweater

I shopped online, so I didn’t see the clothes before they arrived.  When I took the sweater out from the packaging I thought the material was a bit too casual, almost like pyjamas. It also gets creased easily (it was already creased in the package). Apart from that little issue, I think it’s a cute 'stay at home' comfy sweater... or for a super casual going out outfit. Oh and “stay positive”!! :D

Como fiz as compras online, não vi as roupas antes delas chegarem em casa. Quando recebi esta sweater na encomenda, achei o material um pouco casual demais, quase que um pijama. Também percebi que o tecido fica amassado com alguma facilidade (já estava quando chegou). Exceto isto, penso que é uma sweater bonita para um dia confortável em casa ou para um passeio fora muito casual. Ah e "mantenham-se positivos(as)" ("stay positive")!!

I really like this one! I don’t have many black sweaters, so it’s a good addition. Loved the rainbow illustration and how comfortable/warm it is. Perfect for a casual cozy day. I like to match it with skirts to get the cute look, but it goes with anything else.

Gostei muito desta! Não tenho muitas sweaters pretas então foi uma boa aquisição. Adorei a ilustração do arco-íris e o quão confortável/quente ela é. Perfeita para um dia aconchegante e casual. Gosto de combina-la com saias para um look mais "fofo" mas fica bem com qualquer outra peça.

Giraças:

Giraças is an online shop (and also a physical store) that sells super cute stuff. I bought, again, a sweater.

A Giraças é uma loja online (e também loja física, no Porto) que tem coisas super fofas. Comprei, novamente, uma sweater. 

This sweater is so cute! I really like the pink color as it gives it a more romantic look. It's super comfortable and warm. What I like the most about it is the zigzag detail at the bottom, makes it special.

To wrap up this post, here are some outside outfit shots taken with some of the pieces:  

Esta sweater é tão fofa. Gosto muito do cor-de-rosa, dá um ar mais romântico. É super confortável e quentinha. O que eu mais gosto nela é o detalhe em zigzag na parte de baixo, que é o que faz com que seja especial.

I've been thinking of creating a blog for a long time and now, after creating my fashion Instagram @julieverafter, I decided to start blogging about fashion, beauty and related topics. Will try and post as frequent as possible! If you have any fashion topic suggestions please let me know in the comments. :)

Today I'm bringing my outfit of the day. Although it's fall/autumn here, it's been super warm in the last days, around 27ºC (which is around 81ºF!). So I put a t-shirt, shorts and black denim jacket together for a casual but stylish look.

Tenho andado a pensar em criar um blog já há algum tempo e agora, depois de criar o meu Instagram de moda @julieverafter, decidi começar um blog sobre moda, beleza e outros tópicos relacionados. Vou tentar postar o mais frequentemente possível! Por favor diz-me nos comentários caso tenhas alguma sugestão de tópicos relacionados com moda. :)

Hoje trago o meu look do dia. Apesar de aqui ser outono, tem estado super calor nos últimos dias, à volta de 27ºC. Então juntei uma t-shirt/camiseta, calções/shorts e um casaco denim preto para um look casual mas estiloso.

So first things first :) Although it was a hot day, I needed to wear this jacket! I fell in love with it when I saw it in Stradivarius, it's so cool! It reminds me of the oversized denim jackets from the 80s. 

The t-shirt is so cute and comfortable, and it gives it a more casual look. As I love denim w/ denim I mixed the blue denim shorts with the black denim jacket to create a diverse kind of denim look.

I would wear these trainers every day! They're so comfortable and fit almost any look and any color. The white trainers are definitely a must in any wardrobe/closet.

Então, começando pelo início :) Apesar de estar calor, eu precisava usar este casaco! Fiquei apaixonada quando o vi na Stradivarius! Faz-me lembrar os casacos denim oversized dos anos 80.

A t-shirt/blusa é tão fofa e confortável, e dá um ar mais casual ao visual. Como eu amo denim com denim, juntei os calções/shorts de denim azul com o casaco de denim preto para criar um visual variado.

Se pudesse eu usaria estes ténis/tênis todos os dias! São tão confortáveis e combinam com quase qualquer tipo de look e cor. Os ténis/tênis brancos são definitivamente um "must" em qualquer armário/closet.

And last but not least,  my Guess handbag that I simply love! This bag was a gift from my mum, which she brought back from her travels. Thank you so much mum! :D

E último mas não menos importante, a mala/bolsa da Guess que eu simplesmente adoro! Esta mala foi um presente da minha mãe, que trouxe quando voltou de viagem. Muito obrigada mãe! :D

A little extra: My Halloween outfit! I decided to make a dark and vampire'ish visual to match the occasion. I used a black dress, pattern tights, boots and a blond wig to complement the outfit. 

Um pequeno extra: O meu look de Halloween! Decidi fazer um visual escuro e "vampiresco" para combinar com a ocasião. Usei um vestido preto, meia-calça preta com padrão, botas e uma peruca loira para complementar o visual.
