Hi everyone! :) I hope you all had a great weekend.

As mentioned before, I'm spending some time in Brazil visiting my family. In this post, I will talk about the day we visited a place called Ilha do Mel (Honey Island). Besides that, as usual, I will also show the look of that day.

Ilha do Mel (Honey Island) is an island protected by the Paraná Natural Institute and it's a magical place surrounded by nature, sea, beach and beautiful landscapes. There're some restrictions in the Island such as the number of people (max. 5000 people per day) and no type of motor or animal transportation is allowed. There're even places where people is not allowed to go. Since there're no cars, we parked before crossing the sea to the Island, by boat.

If you like nature, walking and beautiful views, the Honey Island is a perfect place. In total, the Island has 25km (15.5 miles) and you can do a good exercising by exploring the place. Nova Brasília and Encantadas are the names of each side of the Island. We stayed the day in Nova Brasília, where you can find the Lighthouse Beach (and the Lighthouse :)) as well as other beaches.

We walked about 15-20 minutes to arrive to the Lighthouse Beach, where we enjoyed the sunny weather.

Como referi anteriormente, estou a passar algum tempo no Brasil a visitar a minha família. Neste post falarei um pouco do dia em que fomos a um lugar chamado Ilha do Mel, para além de, como habitual, mostrar o look do dia.

A Ilha do Mel é protegida pelo Instituto Nacional do Paraná e é um lugar mágico rodeado de natureza, mar, praia e belas paisagens. Existem algumas restrições na Ilha como o número de pessoas (no máximo 5000 pessoas por dia) e não é permitido nenhum tipo de veículo motor ou animal. Como não existem carros, estacionamos o automóvel antes de fazer a travessia de barco.

Para quem gosta de natureza, caminhadas e belas vistas é um lugar perfeito. No total, a Ilha tem 25km e faz-se um bom exercício a explorá-la. Nova Brasília e Encantadas são dois lados da Ilha, cada um com as suas particularidades. Passamos o dia em Nova Brasília, onde existe a praia do Farol (e o Farol :) ) e outras praias.

Caminhamos à volta de 15-20 minutos até chegar à praia do Farol, onde aproveitamos o tempo de sol.

Regarding the outfit, I used a comfortable and fresh look, so I could handle the high temperatures (it was about 35ºC / 95ºF ). I matched a stripes top with a denim high waisted shorts. For the shoes, I used a sneakers for the walking part and I also took a flipflop for the beach time.

Staying protected from the heat is essential, when we're exposed to the sun. That's why I used a cap that protected me from the sun, as well as completed the look :) 


Em relação ao look, usei um conjunto confortável e fresco para que pudesse aguentar as altas temperaturas (estava à volta dos 35ºC). Combinei um top de riscas com uns calções de cintura alta. Para o calçado, usei uns ténis (emprestados, obrigada Tami!!) para a caminhada e levei comigo uns chinelos, que acabei por usar na praia.

Quando estamos expostos ao Sol, a proteção ao calor é indispensável. Por isso usei um chapéu/boné que me protegeu dos raios de sol, para além de completar o look :)

In the same beach there's the Lighthouse, located in a very high point. In the surrounding of it, it's possible to see a wonderful view. In my opinion it's a mandatory stop, if you ever visit the Honey Island.

We didn't go on the Lighthouse, but the landscape from the outside is gorgeous.

Na mesma praia existe o Farol, localizado num ponto bastante alto da Ilha, onde se vê uma paisagem maravilhosa. Para quem visita, na minha opinião, é uma paragem indispensável. 

Não entramos no farol, mas a paisagem de fora é já bastante bonita.

At this time I already changed the sneakers for the flipflop :D Besides enjoying the beach and the sea, we also went in an activity called Standup. In there, we needed to stand up in a large board and row in an area without many waves, in the sea. In my case, I couldn't stand up in the board for too long haha but was a good experience!! :)

I absolutely recommend the visit for whoever's thinking of going to Brazil or lives in Brazil.

Nesta altura já eu tinha trocado os ténis pelos chinelos :D. Para além de aproveitar a praia e o mar, fizemos uma atividade chamada Standup. Fica-se em pé numa prancha larga e rema-se numa zona do mar sem muita ondulação. No meu caso, não consegui ficar em pé na prancha durante muito tempo haha mas foi uma boa experiência!! :)

Com certeza recomendo a visita para quem pensa em ir viajar para o Brasil ou mora no Brasil.

Hi everyone! Today I'm bringing the last Christmas look idea post (very sadly!) of this year. There're only a few days left for the 'big day' or the 'big weekend', depending on the day you guys celebrate :) The photos were taken in the last weekend in London. So I will talk a bit about the day in there, in which we went to remember and visit Winder Wonderland. I lived in London until two years ago so I really went there to see it again :D

Winter Wonderland is an event that happens annually in Hyde Park around this time of the year. The park gets full of lights, decorations, carrousels, stands and all the Christmas spirit. We stayed there for the night and during the day.

Olá pessoal! Hoje trago-vos o último post de ideia para look de natal (com muita pena!) deste ano. Faltam poucos dias para o 'grande dia' ou o grande fim de semana, dependendo do dia em que vocês costumam comemorar :) As fotografias foram tiradas no último fim de semana, em Londres. Portanto vou falar um pouco do dia em Londres, em que fomos recordar e visitar o Winter Wonderland. Vivi em Londres até há dois anos portanto fui mesmo para 'matar saudades' :D

Winter Wonderland é uma espécie de evento que acontece anualmente no Hyde Park por esta altura do natal. O parque fica cheio de luzes, decorações, carrosséis, barracas e todo um espírito natalino. Passamos lá à noite e durante o dia.

There were a lot of games to win prizes. We tried a basket type one, in which we'd need to throw the ball to make points. I'm so terrible at it I didn't win anything haha but it was funny. 

We decided to watch an ice skating show, with the theme "The Nutcracker". It was really impressive and beautiful, a real form of art! I decided not to record it as it wouldn't be good for the artist's work, but here are 30 seconds of an official video for who might be interested. 

Havia imensos jogos para ganhar prémios. Experimentamos apenas um do tipo basket em que se tinha que atirar a bola para fazer pontos no cesto. Como sou péssima não ganhei nada haha mas foi divertido.

Decidimos ver um espetáculo de patinagem no gelo, com o tema O Quebra Nozes. Foi super impressionante e bonito, uma autêntica obra de arte! Decidi não gravar uma vez que punha em causa o trabalho dos artistas, mas ficam aqui 30 segundos de um vídeo oficial para quem estiver interessado:

We also visited places like the Big Ben, London Eye (we didn't actually go in the London Eye :) ) and Harrods. I wanted to go shopping in Oxford Street but we were so tired and running out of time that we preferred to go visit other places and leave the shopping for another time.

Também visitamos lugares conhecidos como o Big Ben, London Eye (não fomos mesmo ao London Eye :) ) e Harrods. Pretendia fazer compras em Oxford Street mas estávamos tão cansados e sem tempo que preferimos visitar lugares e deixar as compras para outra altura.

Regarding the weather, it was really cold and foggy. It was so foggy we could one see a part of the London Eye:

There're a few places we didn't go but , as I said before, it was a really quick day and we wanted to make the most of each place.

Now the Christmas outfit! From my previous posts you can see how much I love sweaters so this look wouldn't be an exception. I choose a Christmassy type one, although it's not an "ugly Christmas sweater" one or anything. I combined it with a black velvet skirt. The velvet is a really trendy material and it fits perfectly with the holiday season. 

Há vários lugares que não chegamos a ir, mas como disse foi um dia bastante corrido e quisemos aproveitar cada lugar. 

Agora o look de Natal! Vocês conseguem perceber, pelos posts anteriores, o quanto eu adoro camisolas/sweaters portanto este look não será excepção. Escolhi uma com o espírito/cores do Natal, apesar de não ser exatamente uma sweater de Natal. Combinei-a com uma saia de veludo preta. O veludo é uma tendência bastante recorrente e encaixa perfeitamente com a época de festas.

The photos were taken in Hyde Park but not in the Winter Wonderland part. That's because there were a lot of people there and it was harder to get good shots.

The sweater is from Giraças and I liked it so much I bought in red and pink. I found the red super Christmassy and the pattern is very pretty. I used a long coat in the burgundy/dark red color to complement the warm tones of the look. Coats and long coats are pieces that I really love to use, mainly when it's cold and it really keeps me warm. And of course the elegance it gives to the outfit.

As fotografias foram tiradas no Hyde Park, mas não na parte em que se encontrava o Winter Wonderland. Isto porque havia muita gente e ficava difícil tirar fotos.

A sweater é da Giraças e gostei tanto do modelo que comprei em vermelho e em cor de rosa. Achei o vermelho super natalício e o padrão muito bonito. Usei um sobretudo da La Redoute da cor bordô/vermelho escuro a complementar as tonalidades quentes do conjunto. Sobretudos e casacos compridos são peças que eu realmente adoro usar, principalmente quando está frio uma vez que aquecem imenso. Sem falar da elegância que dão ao conjunto.

I couldn't miss the beanie. It was very cold and, in my opinion, a beanie is one of the essential pieces for low temperatures, mainly because my ears are always cold and it helps to warm them up :D I used some really simple black tights in this look but any other fashion tights would look good.

O gorro não podia faltar. Estava imenso frio e, na minha opinião, o gorro é uma das peças essenciais para temperaturas baixas, principalmente porque tenho sempre as orelhas frias e o gorro ajuda a aquece-las :D Usei umas meias pretas bastante simples neste look mas qualquer outras meias com padrão ficariam bem.
